Pulling aural influences, the 11-track album traverses genres dabbled under an overarching indie-alternative sound - her repertoire expertly dances between folk, rock, pop, acoustic and soul. This pastiche of influences reflects the coming of age body of work that has seen Yazmindi, only 23, reflect on monumental personal and professional milestones.
"For my debut album I wanted to incorporate and explore all the different musical influences and genres that have inspired me in my life. Each track has a unique sound, but a common theme with the intention to keep it real and empower people, especially young women.” Yazmindi.
The album was recorded at Mountain Kauri Studio in Far North Queensland. Co-produced with QMUSIC award winning ARIA nominated mixer and producer Mark Myers (The Middle East, Greta Stanley, Emma Louise). The body of work was then mastered by Grammy Award-winning Australian sound engineer, William Bowden (Gotye, Spacey Jane, Kylie Minogue).
